FROM RUNWAY TO REALITY: BREAKING DOWN THE SEASON’S HOTTEST COLOR PALETTES AND SILHOUETTES
We can all agree at this point that we are tired of the cold weather and heavy on heavy clothes and want the skimpy summer clothes. Don’t worry I’m here to feel your nostalgia to the max. let’s see what colors are in this summer.
1.Charcoal Gray
Gray is a staple for many year-round wardrobe-wise, and the darker shade of charcoal gray is in this season. To ease on the transition from the cold we take that with a darker dose of grey. You cannot go wrong with charcoal grey from summer shorts to beautiful shrugs. Charcoal gray is a tone that is versatile to style and easy to wear from a variety of silhouettes.
2.Imperial Blue
Blue is always in and since we are just coming from the high of turquoise from trends like mermaid core and beach core, we need a bit of dark and it’s coming through with no better than imperial blue. Who doesn’t want to look princely in their outfits. With the dominating presence of such a rich color, designers offset the hue with other shades, primarily opting to pair it with light denim blue.
3.Apricot Crush
Don’t be scared because of the name Apricot Crush is a warm bleached color that is seen as a soft orange and inspired by a hue of the sub-tropical fruit apricot. Designers have had this shade on their radar even before it was announced as the 2024 Color of the Year by Pantone. And we are obviously here for it. We have been drowning in neutrals lately and a pop of color is highly anticipated.
4.Shades of Green
Green is a versatile and diverse color with a wide range of shades, each conveying a different mood and aesthetic. Green is going to be on everyone’s radar this season and we are here for it. Greens of all kinds are welcome this season. The new color trend for 2024 seems to be taking over the red carpet with celebrities including Taylor Swift, Shailene Woodley and Kate Middleton already fans of the color.
5.Cardinal Red
The darker the red this season, the better. Dark red is always a sleek and sexy look, and this year, there’s no question that it was the sought-after color on the runways.
6.Metallic Mania
We brought metallic wear into our lives and now it’s just too good to let it go. From silvers to gold. Tops to pants. Metallic jackets and coats added a touch of edge and glam to both casual and formal looks. Biker jackets and trench coats in metallic finishes were popular choices. Some fashion-forward individuals experimented with mixing different metallic shades in a single outfit.

On the opposite end of the spectrum of blues dominating this season’s runways lies pastel blue, a serene shade classic in the springtime. Just like other classic springtime shades like pastel blue, pale yellow made an outstanding appearance on the Spring/Summer 2024 runways. 9.Lilac
A playful spin on the richness that purple typically possesses, lilac is making a comeback through next spring and summer. Since we started lilac nails, I think a light purple cardigan could be so marvelous. Easy to translate through different aesthetics and silhouettes, lilac is a gentle, playful pop of color to invest in for the spring and summer months. It feels so fresh, so feminine and that’s a good lean this season.

White will always be in. it’s just that untouchable like denim; no? okay. But imagine a classic wedding white as it shines it shines this season. As a classic, white is a color that’s not going out of style anytime soon, and designers did not hold back when incorporating stark white hues into their collections this season. Instead of opting for cream or off-white shades, brands leaned into the traditional wedding white without the wedding dress, don’t think of that. Something like virgin white, that. Wear the color through a minimalistic blazer overcoat.
