We live in a society right now that prioritizes self-care more than anything. You cannot go a day without listening the musing of taking care of yourself. We can all agree that incorporating new habits in your everyday activities can be damning sometimes. And as it has been my recent MO it is good to start small. Incorporating simple everyday tasks into your routine can contribute to a healthier lifestyle. Here are some easy practices for a healthier lifestyle:
1.Stay Hydrated:
Drink an adequate amount of water throughout the day. Carry a reusable water bottle with you to make it easier to stay hydrated. You can never function well without water. Drink water on the daily and if you go somewhere carry some. Drink at least two liters of water a day that is approximately 8 glasses of water.

2.Mindful Eating:
Pay attention to what you eat. Eat slowly, savor your food, and listen to your body’s hunger and fullness cues. You might have a balanced diet but with little nutritive value. Research on food and incorporate good ingredients in your food.

3.Eat More Fruits and Vegetables:
Increase your intake of fruits and vegetables. Try to include a variety of colors and types in your meals. An apple a day goes a long way.

4.Take Short Walks:
Incorporate short walks into your day. Take the stairs instead of the elevator, go for a quick stroll during your lunch break, or park your car farther away to get some extra steps. Walking can even ensure that you get the daily needed Vitamin D from the sun.

5.Stretch Regularly:
Stretch your muscles regularly, especially if you have a sedentary job. Simple stretches can help improve flexibility and reduce tension. It becomes even more efficient if you do this in the morning when you wake up.

6.Practice Good Posture:

Be mindful of your posture, whether you’re sitting at a desk or standing. Sit up straight and avoid slouching to prevent back and neck discomfort. Make it a habit to always sit upright without slouching ad keep yourself in check.

7.Get Quality Sleep:
Establish a consistent sleep routine. Aim for 7-9 hours of quality sleep each night by creating a comfortable and calming bedtime environment. Ensure that you are always refreshed from the upcoming day. Eye bugs are not a good look sweetheart.

8.Limit Screen Time:
Take breaks from screens. Follow the 20-20-20 rule: every 20 minutes, look at something 20 feet away for at least 20 seconds to reduce eye strain. If you feel like you cannot keep to this use screen time monitors to ration your app time

9.Practice Deep Breathing:
Take a few minutes each day to practice deep breathing exercises. This can help reduce stress and promote relaxation. Breathing practices minimize your levels of anxiety

10.Maintain Personal Hygiene:
Prioritize personal hygiene, including regular handwashing, dental care, and grooming. This not only contributes to physical health but also to a sense of well-being. A clean you is a better you through and through.

11.Connect with Nature:
Spend time outdoors. Whether it’s a walk in the park or simply sitting in your backyard, connecting with nature has positive effects on mental and emotional well-being. You can really be shocked on how spending time in nature can be so healing.

12.Express Gratitude:
Take a moment each day to reflect on things you’re grateful for. This can shift your focus to the positive aspects of your life. Slow down be grateful for how far you have come always.

13.Limit Added Sugars:
Be mindful of your sugar intake. Read food labels and try to limit the consumption of foods and drinks with added sugars.

14.Laugh and Have Fun:
Incorporate laughter and fun into your day. Watch a funny video, spend time with loved ones, or engage in activities that bring joy. We all have heard the saying laughing adds you years

15.Practice Handwashing:
Wash your hands regularly, especially before meals and after being in public spaces, to prevent the spread of germs. Every time you get home wash your hands to avoid grime and dirt and germs. This prevent you from getting sick from germs like bacterial infections.
